Third Draft for Composition about giant octopus

"Five....Four....Three...." the countdown commenced as the octopus rocked from side to side in its glass prison. "Two....One....Lasers fired!" the countdown anded as the octopus fell out of its aquarium and , unluckily, smack right in front of the lasers, and took the full brunt of the blast. How stupid it was for the researchers to leave their pet octopus is the test room!

The octopus grew to ten meters tall. It made a frenzied attempt to bust through the thick steel wall of the test room. All hope was lost for an attempt to shrink the octopus down to size when the octopus's humongous tentacles busted through the wall, leaving a large hole behind. It went out of the top-secret research facility and headed towards town. Seeing that he could not stop it, Daniel, the head of the project, began work on a shrinking device. His subordinates called the military to stop the octopus from reaching the city at any costs necessary. The octopus had some problems ahead of him now!

The giant octopus was on its way towards the town, bent on revenge, after the boost of intelligence it received from the blast. It was going for the person who took it from its home and sold it in a shop. The hate in its heart grew, like a raging fire fed with wood, throughout the years it had been separated from its family. Nothing could stop it from getting its revenge now.

The military closed in with their helicoptors, tanks, fighter jets, and the rest of the weapons in their arsernal. All of them fired at will when encountering the octopus, but all the weapons were just swatted away like flies, together with the other war vehicles. The army had failed too! Now there was no stopping the octopus.

I was just on the way home from school, thinking about the cute little octopus that my dad sold away months ago, wondering where it had went. Who knew that it had turned into a large monster! I went straight to my room after arriving home. My dad was just closing up the shop, unknown to him was that it was the shop which the octopus was from.

Back at the facility, Daniel was having some problems with the wiring of the shrinking device. A thousand miles away, the giant octopus had arrived at the city, leaving nothing but destuction and debris in the wake of the octopus.

Dad reached home, bushed after a day's work. Unknown to him, the octopus had demolised his shop within seconds and reaching it and was heading towards his house after reading a letter found in the shop. The octopus flung its tentacles around in excitement as it grew closer and closer to accomplishing its goal- killing my dad.

By then, Daniel had already completed the device and was speeding to the city. It was a race against time. Continued in next post
