Reflection for ending of compo

I chose to give the story a happy ending, while one particular character is unhappy, just as to set up a scenario in which I could end off the story with a cliff hanger and allow the readers to think more about what happens after the story. Personally, I prefer to end off my stories this way, if it is possible. I have created a happy ending as I did not think that a bloody ending would be appropriate as the princess had gone out with the young man for a long enough period of time to have built a good enough relationship which would be what the princess depends on to make the decision of letting the young man live. Secondly, I added a twist to the story, from a non-happy ending to a happy one, even though it is not very well done, to try to make the story more interesting
